The hall takes its name “Dorian” from the unique architectural shape of the building, a shape familiar to all who know the Singaporean skyline.
The Esplanade consists of an lyric theater mainly used for opera, ballet, musical, and theatrical events (2,000 seats) and a concert hall mainly used for musical events (1,800 seats).
