After-sale service system

Image of Rubber and Tire Machinery Product Update Service

After-sale service teams are permanently stationed at the production bases of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Machinery Systems. Ltd. (Japan), Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (Changshu) Machinery Co., Ltd., (China), and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (USA) to ensure that the machines we deliver remain in good condition and perform at the high levels required for the production of high-quality products at our customers' manufacturing sites. We also provide a “update service” menu to improve tire quality, productivity, and environmental performance by upgrading the machines already delivered at our customers sites with the latest MHI technologies.

Service Overview
Periodical inspection/checking and improving operating status To propose appropriate O/H period and replacement of parts (TPM: Total Productive Maintenance), based on various clearance measurements, plating thickness measurements, external appearance, operating status check results, etc.
Replacement with rotor for silica-reinforced rubber To replace the existing rotor with a new-type rotor developed to knead silica-reinforced rubber.
Running cost reduction improvement To reduce oil consumption by optimizing the amount of lubrication of dust seal.
Conversion to hydraulic cylinder for float weighting To drastically reduced compressed air volumes, and thereby save energy, by replacing an existing pneumatic cylinder with a hydraulic one.
Updating PLC and conversion to automatic operation by introducing touch panel To stabilize kneading quality by storing kneading recipes and conducting automatic operations.
Overhauling To update the kneading unit, casing, rotor, raw material feeder, floating weight, etc.

CURING PRESS

Service Overview
Conversion to a non-pressurized container To develop a vulcanizer without a pressurization mechanism by introducing a self-lock container.
Changing tire size To enable the production of tires of more sizes by modifying loader/unloader, central mechanism, and other components.
Upgrading hydraulic machines To prevent oil leakage by upgrading obsolete hydraulic machines that leak.
Energy-saving measures Replacement with a heat shield with superior heat-retention properties and a hydraulic unit that consumes less power.
Updating mechanical vulcanizer parts To update driving parts such as crank gears and reduction gears.

INSPECTION MACHINE

Service Overview
Periodical inspections and checks and measures to improve operating status To check measurement accuracy, the accuracy and conditions of equipment such as spindles and upper rim lifting apparatus, the accuracy of waveform load cell signals, etc.
Upgrading obsolete equipment To upgrade spindles, upper rim lifting apparatus, traversers, bead lubes, markers, rims, etc.
Upgrading control devices and control software To upgrade FANUC control devices, PLCs, touch panels, servo motors, etc.
Installing an additional tire tread continuity checker To add a simplified continuity inspection device for silica-reinforced tires on the conveyer line (deal configured for offline use).
Improving the marker function To upgrade existing markers and make modifications to improve marking performance parameters such as the marking position and accuracy.
